Success. Scandal. Sex. Tragedy. Infamy. Robert Evans knew them all, and in this provocative and compelling documentary, he reveals how one of the greatest winning streaks in Hollywood history almost destroyed him. From his early acting days to his stellar rise as head of production at Paramount and involvement in a well-publicized cocaine sting, Evans’ meteoric career reveals the moviemaking industry during one of its most glamorous and scandal-filled periods. As the man who made possible Rosemary’s Baby and The Godfather series, Evans was a tastemaker in a town that alternately loved and loathed him.

Fresh: An engrossing portrait of a man whose engaging manner and flamboyant style made him a truly larger-than-life character.
Fresh: It's Hollywood navel-gazing at its best.
Fresh: The thing about guys like Evans is this: You're never quite sure where self-promotion ends and the truth begins. But as you watch the movie, you're too interested to care.
Fresh: For movie lovers, it's like an aging Lancelot reminiscing about Camelot.
Amazingly entertaining and highly creative narrative of the inside workings of Hollywood from the point of view of one of those key figures responsible for the success of some of the greatest movies of the last 40 years.
Saw it years ago in the theaters. Great glimpse into old Hollywood ! Enjoy!
I knew Robert Evans and as such it was so great to see his life story finally told. By him of course. He is quintessential Hollywood. Not these no talent reality stars that people fawn all over. But true Hollywood when people had REAL talent and great movies were made. Thank you Robert for giving us all a glimpse into that world. And with your deep sexy voice as the narrator it makes it all the better!!!
