About the Movie
From director Ben Wheatley (DOWN TERRACE), KILL LIST is a mind-blowing genre concoction being called the “#1 Horror Film of the Year” (Bloody-Disgusting). A brilliant blend of family drama, hitman action-thriller and terrifying psychological horror film, KILL LIST tells the story of an ex-soldier turned contract killer who is plunged into the heart of human darkness. Eight months after a disastrous hit job in Kiev left him physically and mentally scarred, Jay (Neil Maskell) is pressured by his partner Gal (BIFA Winner Michael Smiley), into taking a new assignment. As they descend into the bizarre, disturbing world of the contract, Jay’s world begins to unravel until fear and paranoia send him reeling towards a horrifying point of no return.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: The film's title may draw you in, but it's the texture that keeps you watching.
Rotten: Tries to be Eyes Wide Shut, The Wicker Man, and The Twilight Zone all at once, but only makes you wish that you were watching one of them instead.
Fresh: Displaying both a nasty edge and a playful sense of humor -- but thankfully, never at the same time -- Brit import Kill List is several cuts above its fellow midbudget horror brethren.
Fresh: The camera is unflinching, and so is Wheatley, as the story moves toward the unthinkable. It's left to you when and whether to look away.
I didn't read a thing about the movie before randomly watching it this afternoon. Wonderful acting and nice cinematography. Starts out as a stressed-out family drama and slithers into much darker territory. Is the concept wholly original? No; it will remind you of a classic English horror movie. That being said, this was very well done. Recommended.
Do not waste your time or money.
If you are looking for a good horror film, don't waste your time or money with this film. It is very slow, and it leaves a lot to be explained. After watching this film, I don't understand the praise from Rotten Tomatoes. I found the film completely undeserving of such reviews.
First of all my horror film standards are The Exorcist,The Shining and more recently Insidious as a gauge for anyone reading my review. After waiting 45 minutes to download this rental and buying into the rotten tomatoes hype etc i was totally disappointed with this lame effort to bridge an english gangster/hitman movie with the Wicker man don't waste your money. The ending would not make you leave the theatre scared we've seen it before i would however leave terrified i paid $9.99 for this!!!
