Epic viewpoint into the life of a true underdog!

As amazing as the movies are (Rocky and Karate Kid) and will always be, learning more of the background has been amazing. The unseen footage and actors John has brought to our eyes has been a pleasure to learn about! May he Rest In Peace!

Not what I expected...

I expected to learn about a movie director. What I didn't expect was to be inspired! We ALL can relate to John. We've all been an underdog at one point in our lives. Being an underdog has its consequences- positive and negative - and you can learn from Johns story. For someone completely not in tune with the industry I highly recommend as a must watch!

I've seen it four times and I pick up on new things every time

This is such a well done documentary about such an interesting life, I find it very inspiring. I moved to LA three years ago and love how people here are brave enough to follow their dreams, in spite of the challenges and obstacles. John Avildsen proved that obstacles are opportunities in disguise and the filmmakers who paid homage to this great director should feel very proud. It was so well done, and so captivating, I watched it over and over.
