About the Movie

When her husband keels over from a stroke, Raynelle Slocumb (Whoopi Goldberg) calls the entire clan together to remember their dearly departed. Family tensions reach a comedic boil as the wildly dysfunctional Slocumbs reunite under one roof, including Raynelle's battling sons (LL Cool J & Anthony Anderson) and their feisty wives, played with comic brilliance by Jada Pinkett Smith and Vivica A. Fox.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: The structure and style are a staple of many traveling black stage shows ... What slays them in the second balcony, though, flattens on the screen. – Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly, Sep 7, 2011

Rotten: A heavyset daughter who never talks but eats a lot is named Delightful, which is supposed to be funny. That pretty much sums up the movie's comic tone. – Mike Clark, USA Today, Apr 13, 2001

Rotten: Demands high tolerance for low comedy. – Edward Crouse, Village Voice, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: A lukewarm African-American sitcom that forsakes the laugh track in favor of an R&B soundtrack. – Jan Stuart, Newsday, Jun 24, 2010

Kingdom Come

Takes disfunctional family to a new level. Very funny and a must see!!!!!

This movie was ok, let's put it this way you can get easily distracted by something else. I would say it's bland type of comedy, though I did like the singing :P Rent it if you are curious, and buy it if you like it.

I haven't seen this movie, but it seems awesome. The only thing Itunes needs on here is the soundtrack. If you get it I'll be happy.
