Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Since we barely know what's at stake -- we're too confused and bored to care -- all this fighting means nothing to us, and yet Scott still hopes to rev us up with it. – Stephanie Zacharek, Salon.com, Jul 7, 2010

Fresh: To say that Scott did a beautiful job directing Kingdom of Heaven would be true, but it wouldn't convey the nature of the achievement. – Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Filmed in Morocco, in Spain and in computers, Kingdom fills a vast canvas with breathtaking spectacle. In contrast, most of the performances are blandly ordinary. – Jack Mathews, New York Daily News, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: The religious sentiment accumulates into a tower of politically correct Jell-O. – Andrew Sarris, New York Observer, Apr 26, 2007

About time!

Finally! This has been requested for years and we finally got it on iTunes!

A masterpiece of a movie from Ridley Scott that far eclipses the theatrical cut. This is the definitive version and should not be missed! Only thing else that would be nice is to have iTunes Extras added.

One question however: why is this movie filed under "Romance"?

So Much Better!!!

I’ve been waiting for a long time for this version to be released on iTunes! This version is so much better than the theatrical release.

An inevitable page of mankind history

A Masterpiece from Ridley Scott in every aspect! This dramatic and grandiose epic filming gives us a very unique opportunity to understand this complex time of The Crusades and what they were all about...When some people unfortunately state in a very negative review "we don't understand what is at stake?" I would invite them to wacth the movie again , then they will have an second opportunity to absorb better the profound messages that are behind this page of history... Beyond the action of the movie, it also gives us a one of a kind opportunity to understand what was the philosophy of the true Crusaders, such as the Protectors of Jerusalem, versus to the brutal Templars... What happened in the Holy City between 2000 years ago and 1000 years ago has not changed and remains today, unfortunately exactly the same...We are in a different era, with different "actors" but with the same non sense!.... Wonderful production, superb casting, exceptional decors and special effects! Grand spiritual work!
