Watch while in theaters! If a political candidate is personally flawed, but stands to make a positive difference in millions of lives, would you help him win? That question looms over the life of “true believer” Paul Turner (Rob Lowe), a savvy strategist sharply maneuvering politicians out of scandal and into public office. With the help of a bright young assistant (Jamie Chung) and a seedy operative (Richard Schiff), Turner spins every news cycle and a shrewd reporter (Julie Bowen) on behalf of his clients: a philandering Kentucky governor (Eric McCormick), a blackmailed California senator (David Harbour), and an idealistic doctor turned gubernatorial candidate (Carrie-Anne Moss). When the ugly side of Turner’s work begins to haunt him, he learns that even in the bloodiest of battles, sometimes you have to fight clean. KNIFE FIGHT is a smart, crackling, comedic “inside look” at what happens behind closed doors in modern American politics. Two-time Academy Award-winning director Bill Guttentag teamed with renowned political consultant Chris Lehane to create this political story for the new century. As the November election approaches, KNIFE FIGHT pulls back the curtain on the “real truth” of the political process.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Whether playing it sleazy or noble, Mr. Lowe brings little emotional weight to his role.
Rotten: [An] underwhelming, would-be political satire.
Rotten: Soulless and two-dimensional, Knife Fight is a black hole of disillusion and spin.
Rotten: Though everyone's intentions seem honorable, this limp political satire overshoots its targets almost every time.
Geez … how disappointing
Horrenous script … poor, contrived acting … confusing messaging … I was shocked how weak this film was after seeing the obviously planted 5 star ratings/reviews … I like Rob Lowe a lot generally but he got cast in a joke of a film -- too bad it was a drama! Even a few bloopers (Lara/Laura, etc.) …. really? Glad to see Trinity in a current film but she tanked with the rest of them. Those with 5 star raings … ever seen a quality film before? or did you get paid?
Great movie! Nice modern professionally done film, with an interesting story. Plus, it's nice to see Carrie Anne Moss in something where she looks great and fits the part. I rented it as a early rental at the $7 rate and was still extremely satisfied. Recommended!
Aimless and ridiculous
Seems like they tried to shove too much into one movie. Seemed pretty amateur as well. And where the hell did Davey Havok and Eddie George come from? Weird.
