About the Movie
Renowned horror director Wes Craven returns to the scene of the most notorious thrillers of all time in this darkly disturbing reimagining of The Last House on the Left. After kidnapping and ruthlessly assaulting two teen girls, a sadistic killer and his gang unknowingly find shelter from a storm at the home of one of the victim's parents-- two ordinary people who will go to increasingly gruesome extremes to get revenge. Loaded with shocking twists guaranteed to leave you on edge, it's the ominous film critics call, "One of the best horror remakes ever made" (Scott Weinberg, Fearnet.com).

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: A shockingly mundane disappointment taken on its own and a deeply misguided refraction of the original.
Rotten: Stripped of that sociological context, the extreme brutality here can't help but feel more than a little exploitative, especially where the film's female victims are concerned.
Fresh: The action scenes are particularly gripping.
Fresh: The remake is much glossier but also takes place mostly in real time, using long takes, genuinely disturbing violence and stretches with no dialogue to pin you to the story.
Wow..great twist through the whole movie, but yeah..that rape scene was way too much! If you or anyone else you know has any experience with rape, DO NOT watch this movie.
Wes Craven's outstanding remake of classic film.
This movie may be graphic and hard to watch for some audiences, but clearly ends in a way that leaves the audience feeling that justice was served. It strikes a cord in ever person's heart that thinks what they would do if it was their family. An edgy thiller!
This movie was all and all pretty good..... the rape seen is extremely graphic and this movie would make ANY parent uncomfortable. It made me think about all the times I thought my parents were annoying asking me to be careful when I left the house... creepy because it could happen
