Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: The film, directed by Jon Turteltaub, has an easy but mediocre charm.
Rotten: The actors perform with multiple safety nets and the closest the film ever comes to taking a risk is having Freeman dance to a cover of Earth Wind & Fire's "September."
Rotten: De Niro and Douglas weirdly play versions of their real selves, while Freeman and Kline ham it up as if they're auditioning for a reality show called Gramps Gone Wild.
Fresh: "This is the like "The Hangover Part 43."
What do Scott and Bowles know?
They're just movie critics. Right? So the film is a bit corny. So what? How often do you get to see these four guys in the same movie. From the looks of it, they had a great time making the movie, and it shows. We need to see more of the legends, and less of the young clowns posing as “actors” today. The only thing missing in this movie was Clint Eastwood :) Enjoy.
Mix Between Old(er) and Young
Some say it’s a bit corny, and I can see their view, but it’s corny in a way that makes fun of stereotypical Vegas, Young Guys, and Older guys and the issues they face. There are backstories to each character’s situation. People who have been to Vegas, and experienced all of that, will understand and laugh at this most.
It was fun to watch. Period.
