About the Movie

When Anna's (Amy Adams) four-year anniversary to her boyfriend passes without an engagement ring, she decides to take matters into her own hands. Inspired by an Irish tradition that allows women to propose to men on Leap Day, Anna follows Jeremy (Adam Scott) to Dublin to propose to him. But after landing on the wrong side of Ireland, she must enlist the help of the handsome and carefree local Declan (Matthew Goode) to get her across the country. Along the way, they discover that the road to love can take you to very unexpected places.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: What makes Leap Year so singularly dispiriting is precisely that it is bad without distinction a" so witless, charmless and unimaginative that it can be described as a movie only in a strictly technical sense. – A.O. Scott, New York Times, Jul 7, 2010

Rotten: Leap Year may be the least funny Hollywood comedy to take advantage of Irish tax credits since The Honeymooners. – Lou Lumenick, New York Post, Jul 7, 2010

Rotten: If the premise seems lame, the actual script by Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont is far worse, leaning on so many cliched situations it's a wonder 45 other screenwriters weren't credited. – Tom Long, Detroit News, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Is this 2010, or 1950? It certainly seems the latter, since no contemporary woman with an IQ above Guinness temperature would sit with such nonsense. – Peter Howell, Toronto Star, Jun 24, 2010

Very cute(:

I loved the scenery(however it's spelled haha), acting, humor, and simple plot. It's a feel-good movie and it left me happy(;

Absolutely Adorable!

This movie was the best movie I have seen in quite a while and it really showed up Ghosts of Girlfriends Past! It was really cute and is worth the money. I would say, though it was good, the end was pretty predictable! (Well i mean u know what she did) See it becuz it is really worth it and the end is a tearjerker but the whole movie is a comidy! Luv it!

I went to see this movie in theaters with my mom. It's amazing! It's a beautifully done Romantic comedy. But, it's a total chick-flick, so guys, I wouldn't recomend it for you. But girls, IT'S A MUST-SEE!
