About the Movie
Academy Award® winners George Clooney and Renée Zellweger team up in this fun-filled comedy set against the beginnings of pro football. Dodge Connelly (Clooney), captain of a struggling squad of barroom brawlers, has only one hope to save his team: recruit college superstar Carter Rutherford (John Krasinski, The Office). But when a feisty reporter (Zellweger) starts snooping around, she turns the two teammates into instant rivals and kicks off a wild competition filled with hilarious screwball antics! Critics are cheering Leatherheads as "a real winner" (Claudia Puig, USA Today).

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Maybe the film loses a little steam as it rolls along, but it is still puffing and tooting as Clooney and Zellweger ride off into the sunset.
Fresh: More amiable than witty and relying heavily on the likability and charm of its lead actors, Leatherheads scores more points as a retro romantic comedy than a football saga.
Rotten: Tragically, Leatherheads is just OK, though the film may well find an audience among those eager for a little diversion, what with the nostalgia factor and the George Clooney factor.
Rotten: Leatherheads is not that good a movie, and yet it would be hard to enjoy saying anything nasty about it.
This has to be the worst movie ever.
First of all, let me start by getting this out of the way. Now everyone that posts after me will say "don't listen to STPFan94, this movie is great". Well I don't think it's great. I thought it was awful. The trailer depicted a movie about the early start of football in the Roarin' 20's America. Instead what I saw was a story about a football player, who is dishonest about being a war hero. Not what I expected. I had to slap myself to stay awake, and often found the so called "humorous" parts just plain dumb. Do not buy this movie. It's not funny. Well, that's all I have to say. Now diss me if you want, but I think you'll catch what I'm saying.
this movie is hilariousss, and its so good. I loved it and saw it like 3 times in theater. you have to go see it, its so great!
By no means is this a great film. It is a wonderful, light, and fun movie. George Clooney is hilarious as he essentially reprises his role from O Brother Where art Thou?. Check this movie out.
