Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: For all its intimations of fire and brimstone, the film isn't remotely frightening, and the high-school-level acting doesn't help.
Rotten: A little hard to believe.
Rotten: Might be extremely effective while preaching to the converted, but it's no great shakes as secular entertainment.
Rotten: A weak proselytizing device masquerading as a movie.
Food for thought
I admit I bought this mainly to make fun of with my friends. However, it has impacted me in a very weird way and after being a Pagan for most of my life, I'm beginning to do explore Christianity. I know it's fiction based on Biblical ideas but for some reason it really impacted me on a heart level.
As for the tech aspect, a little off but it was made 10 years ago. Loved the people fighting over the pay phones in the airport! The acting was ok and the scene with Rayford and the Pastor talking to God in the Church, was stunning and still touches me every time I think of it.
Very good, exciting!
This movie is very good and inspirational. It is a great suspense movie, and is clean! All of the actors seemed very "into" there' parts, which made the movie seem very realistic, and made it all the more interesting! If you are a person that wants to watch a good movie, i would look at this one, and the other two for the quality, and excitement!!!
This movie was spiritualy and emotionally rejuvinating
