About the Movie

President Gerald Fitzhugh (Lou Gossett Jr.) lives in a different world – everyone does. A year and a half ago hundreds of millions of people vanished. In the chaos, Nicolae Carpathia offered hope and now rules the entire world. But after Fitzhugh is nearly killed, he suspects Nicolae. Desperate, Fitzhugh forces journalist Buck Williams (Kirk Cameron) to help him, but soon they're both running for their lives as the world is plunged into World War III.

Not as good as the books.

First off, I want to say I LOVE this book series. It's amongst my favorite reading material.

This is why I don't like the movie. The first wasn't too bad even if they did cut out Ken Ritz, who is one of my favorite people. The second movie started to change a lot. The third . . . let's just say I hope they don't make a fourth. The only parts of this that were actually in the book were the wedding, the character names (not counting the extra people that got in there), the fact that there was a war, and the fact that Bruce died (although the way he died was all wrong). That's it.

I really don't like that the first scene had the Christians stealing weapons from the enemy. This never happened in the books at all. In the entire movie, 90% of it was never in the books. It's like they completely re wrote the whole thing.

No offense intended for those who liked it. This is just my own opnion. I think they should have stuck more to the books, because to me, they're ruining it.

I've been reading the coments 4 this movie. The reason why the Antichrist is issuing the mark of the beast is because he IS the beast and he will stop at nothing to get people on his side. Also, the movies weren't copied from the books, they were only BASED on the books. One more thing. Nobody really knows what's gonna happen in the end times so maybe the makers of this movie were just expressing what they think might happen. What 1 set of people think is most likely going to be different from what another set of people think.

Non-believers Second Chance

Scripture talks about 144000 Jewish witnesses in the time of the tribulation. That's 144000 believers after the rapture. It also tells of the mark of the beast, which will prevent people from becoming believers. Why would the Antichrist issue the mark of the beast if everyone is going to be loyal to him and not Jesus? (and just so you know, u won't instantly get the mark after the rapture, it is a choice, and rebels will lose their head) And scripture also tells of the belivers in heaven who will lose their head for not getting the mark (people in white robes who will later be rewarded with a crown of some sort).
