Let Me In is a haunting and provocative thriller written and directed by Matt Reeves (CLOVERFIELD), based on the best-selling Swedish novel "Let The Right One In" and highly acclaimed film of the same name. Chloë Grace Moretz (KICK-ASS) stars as Abby, a mysterious 12-year-old who moves in with a man who appears to be her father (Oscar®-nominee Richard Jenkins of THE VISITOR), next door to Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee of THE ROAD), a social outcast who is viciously bullied at school. In his loneliness, Owen forms a profound bond with his new neighbor Abby, but can’t help noticing that she is like no one he has ever met before. As a string of grisly murders grips his wintry New Mexico town, Owen has to confront the reality that this seemingly innocent girl may not be what she seems.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Let Me In is one of the few horror films that will trouble you long after the credits roll.
Fresh: To his credit, Cloverfield director Matt Reeves makes a good fist of this.
Fresh: What more could you want? Great reviews, awards-season glory, lousy ticket sales. Maybe Reeves made an art movie after all.
Fresh: A remake that in no way soils its source and stands on its own two bare feet as a classy, nerve-jangling slice of horror.

Before you whine that I'm just some pea-brained American child obsessed with Justin Bieber and Twilight, let me just say that I am not. I appreciated the Swedish version "Let the Right One In", and "Let Me In" was equally good. Too many of you people are not giving this film a chance just because it's a remake. You have all seem to forgot that "Let the Right One In" had its problems too-I thought in some areas, it was too quiet and a little bit awkward, the CGI was in some places laughable, etc etc.
With that said, people should give this film a chance and should quit judging it solely on "It's a remake! Watch the original!" Blah blah blah. It's a great film by itself. Both versions are.
Chloe Moretz is going to make it big, and this movie just proves that. She has so many sides and so many options. THis movie, in my personal opinion, is WAY better than the original. It is fast paced, and heartwarming. The original is boring and too long. This version is better, not because of it's budget, but because of it's actors, directing, script, and overall quality.
Pay no attention to those who cry "REMAKE!"
Yes, this is a remake. Generally remakes are bad. But this one is special. It's a great movie on its own that shows great admiration to the original Swedish version. Those who give 1 star rating and simply state that it's a remake obviously haven't really seen the movie. I know tons of people who saw Let the Right One In and loved Let Me In as well. If you're a fan of Let the Right One In, see this version too. It's just as good (if not better). And if you haven't seen the original, see this movie as well as the Swedish version. They're both great movies! IMO Let Me In is actually better but that's just me. Check it out.
