About the Movie

In the romantic comedy "Life as We Know It," Holly Berenson (Katherine Heigl) is an up-and-coming restaurateur and Eric Messer (Josh Duhamel) is a promising network sports director. After a disastrous blind date, the only thing they have in common is their dislike for each other and their love for their goddaughter, Sophie. But when they suddenly become all Sophie has in the world, Holly and Messer are forced to put their differences aside. Juggling career ambitions and competing social calendars, they'll have to find some common ground while living under one roof.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: There is not a single deviation from formula. – Stephen Holden, New York Times, Oct 8, 2010

Rotten: We keep seeing Heigl's potential as a fine comic actress and, the curse of optimism, continue to be disappointed when she betrays her best instincts. – Richard Corliss, TIME Magazine, Nov 29, 2010

Rotten: Cloying and at times annoying, Life as We Know It is egregiously manipulative, whoring itself out for a few unearned tears. – James Berardinelli, ReelViews, Oct 8, 2010

Rotten: Watching Duhamel and Heigl discover the joys and pains of parenthood is cute as far as it goes, but their story can't progress too far until the kid is out of diapers. – Amy Biancolli, Houston Chronicle, Oct 8, 2010

wow critics are harsh

i LOVED this movie, but apparently the critics didn't. I thought it was totally worth seeing so don't listen to the stupid critics, they always go hard on movies. it is worth buying or renting!!!! there are funny scenes, sad scenes, and romantic scenes. it is definitely a type of movie that i like to see.

i hate critics why should we listen to them?

this movie is amazing there REALLY funny parts and romantic and those two things go perfectly together and this two performers by the way are not acting in a dump movie they are acting in the really really good movie, idiot-joe morgeston, cristics are mean and are wrong and besides they are not the voice of everyone so please watch this movie you wont regret it

Great movie

Seriously, screw rotten tomatoes. I hate how they always degrade movies and actually were decent ones. This movie is very good and I love Josh in it.
