About the Movie
Life Cycles is a true adventure film. Over 5 years in the making, and using the bicycle as the vehicle, Life Cycles takes you on a journey through natures most beautiful, dramatic, and sometimes unforgiving landscapes. Shot in Ultra HD, and with an uncompromising attention to detail, Life Cycles pulls the viewer into natures most powerful elements. From Canada's golden prairies to a bicycle factory in Japan, Life Cycles explores the concepts of creation and destruction; in nature, machine, and man.
Stunning Piece of Art
I rented what I expected to be a film portraying beautiful shots of mountain biking amid stunning natural back shots. What I got was a deeply moving and personal soliloquy of a wise, faceless protagonist passionately moving the viewer through lush and gorgeous scenes of life cycles in bicycling.
The message and personal attachment to the story transcends traditional sports films.
The cinematography is in a league of its own and is art in motion. The scene of the bikes constructed from crude forms of metal was majestic, and the seasonal changes set to the riders can't be called anything other than poetic. The visual beauty of the film alone justifies the experience. This film is setting the standard cinematographically for sports films and independent films in general moving forward.
A recommendation is not enough. This is a call to all nature loving people and cyclists. See this film! Major thanks to the filmmakers for sharing their vision.
Just Feel It
Watching this film will help cleanse the mind of the daily rubbish we accumulate. It's the simplicity of the story which makes the film so genius. Therefore Life Cycles was meant to be felt, not interpreted by captious film critics. Beautiful cinematography coupled with an amazing sound track, it's as much about the Earth as it is about the bicycle.
Love watching it one of the few movies I watch more then once. Great for having cycling buddies over for.
