About the Movie

Live Free or Die Hard gets real – with real action, real humor, and the reprise of a beloved and iconic character: John McClane (Bruce Willis). On the Fourth of July weekend, an attack on the vulnerable United States infrastructure begins to shut down the entire nation. The mysterious figure behind the scheme has figured out every modern angle… but he never figured on John McClane – the old-school "analog" fly in the "digital" ointment.

Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: An enjoyable pop projection of post-9/11 anxiety. That said, it also makes you nostalgic for the days when irresponsible action movies didn't have to deal with it. – Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly, Sep 7, 2011

Fresh: Willis should not be the victim of facile stereotyping. He brings more heart and humor to apocalyptic pulp fiction than any other actor I can think of offhand. – Andrew Sarris, New York Observer, Jul 14, 2007

Fresh: What's the fourth "Die Hard" called? I keep forgetting. "Die Hard: With a Pension"? "Die Hardened Arteries"? "Die Laughing"? – Kyle Smith, New York Post, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: The bad guys' omnipotence at nearly every turn dilutes the film's suspense. – Andrea Gronvall, Chicago Reader, Jun 24, 2010

Wow

literally best movie ever. bruce is the boss. end of story. love it. buy it. u wont b let down. promise.

Good

I can't believe this didn't get more reviews! Didn't this come out in theatres??? Anyway, it could've lost the sexual things and the language and still have been a great movie. But anyway, I loved the action so 5 stars it is!

Die Hard

This movie was much better unrated. It is more true to the Die Hard theme with the bad language. This one is right up there with the others.
