About the Movie
Co-written, directed and starring Julie Delpy ("Before Sunset"), "Lolo" follows Violette, a forty year-old workaholic in the fashion industry who goes on a spa retreat with her best friend and falls head-over-heels for a local computer geek, Jean-René (Dany Boon, "Welcome to the Sticks"). But this newly-blooming romance is threatened when she returns to Paris and introduces Jean-René to her spoiled teenage son, Lolo, who secretly plots to ruin the relationship.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: As a character, Lolo is a conceit of indulgent parenting and never fully blooms.
Rotten: What could have been a broad yet sweetly believable comic meditation on cross-cultural middle-aged romance [is dragged] down with flatly staged, sometimes downright infantile low-brow antics.
Fresh: A high-concept comedy that's French actress-director Julie Delpy's most winningly mainstream concoction yet.
Fresh: Lolo is a maternal horror film in the guise of a light romantic comedy, and therein lies much of its charm.
