Plot Summary

This twisted and obsessive love story follows Syd (Chris Evans), a strung-out, wealthy 20-something whose life is about to go from meaningless to futile. After a massive binging and drug spree, he awakes to the news that he is about to lose his "one true love" London (Jessica Biel) forever: Syd's ex-girlfriend is moving from New York to Los Angeles. Syd has one more chance to win her back, tonight, at her going-away party. Syd stocks up on cocaine and goes off to the party with Bateman (Jason Statham), a young English banker/part time drug dealer he's just met. Throughout the evening, however -- punctuated by regular drug breaks in the bathroom -- we discover that Syd's relationship problems involve more than friction with his girlfriend. Is there a light at the end of his tunnel?

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: A misfired attempt at provocation and the exploration of philosophical thought, London is little more than an immature display of male bonding on speed. – Laura Kern, New York Times, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: It's not so interesting to watch people on cocaine babble back and forth at each other. – Gregory Kirschling, Entertainment Weekly, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: For those who enjoy fashion-model-looking twentysomethings yelling at each other in bathrooms while doing too much cocaine, voila! Heaven is a place called London. – Dennis Harvey, Variety, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Richards mistakes boorishness for drama, and the seemingly tendentious desire to be off-putting succeeds all too well. – Kevin Crust, Los Angeles Times, Jun 24, 2010

Heartbreak the real way....

I love this movie, sometimes the little things in life are the things that give me the most pleasure and I find that this movie is one of them. It is so real throughout, that I watch it just to see the breakdown of our typical societal relationship and views upon ourselves and others. This movie is so heartbreaking and honest that it makes me love the main characters for all their flaws and all their passionate ramblings. Who knows if this movie will stand the test of time? All I know is it stirred up feelings in me that made me see others and myself in different perspectives, and that is why I am recommending this movie to anyone who has ever been in a relationship of any kind, you too will relate.

OHHHH the humanity!!!

Rotten Tomatoes stunk up the room with this review...idiots. Unreal movie, like looking in a mirror of insecurities to show how we're all far from the fairy tale. And at the same time comforts the restless heart as it is not alone.
