A chance encounter with struggling B-movie star Ronnie Bostock (Jason Priestley) opens up a whole new world to buttoned-up British author Giles De'Ath (John Hurt). Going to the movies for the first time in 20 years, Giles mistakenly wanders into the wrong theater. But this seemingly incidental event launches his life on a bizarre path filled with bittersweet contrasts that ultimately leaves a lasting impression.
