Great journey...

...но что случилось?

The premise occurs more than we would like to think., The movie is like watching paint dry, that being said-keep your finger on FF.

Trying Too Hard

Considering his beginnings with The Return, a masterly film, this work is lifeless.
The boy disappears, and takes all drama with him, never to return.
We are left with mom and dad divorced and indifferent.
The rest is arty softcore sex, and the scene in Russia the director has spent a decade pushing. It's bleak, cold, colorless.
He's become a documentarian.
He doesn't like Russia, though that's his canvas.
So, he's run dry.
Talent lost in political effort so he can attract Western attention.
This work is begging for help.
A big talent wasted.
