About the Movie

“Making It” is an art documentary that explores the daily struggles of making a living, staying creative, and making it all up as we go along. The film focuses primarily on Eric Fortune, Andrew Bawidamann, and Brian Ewing discussing education, their business model, and the future of Illustration but ultimately asking, what does “Making It” mean to each artist? The journey of an artist is not a easy path, and in this film, we explore that path through the eyes of students, working professionals, and artists who are working at the top in their field.

Truly inspiring

I knew I needed to watch this when I first saw the trailer… I was moved by the honesty and raw commentary of the amazing artists in the movie.
I would highly recommend this film to any artist… period. Watch it. Feel like you are a part of a bigger community of creatives that struggle the same as you do.

Very truthful

Fantastic job! A very real look at the life of an artist and what it really means to make it.

Learning to love the journey

I was lucky enough to see a pre-screening of this documentary in my hometown and it’s a great piece about striving to “make it” as an artist, what that means, and what sacrifices come with trying to achieve that goal. It’s focused on 3 top-level guys who happen to be friends as well, but I got to hear from tons of artists and illustrators I already know and admire as well. It really came across like an honest examination of how these artists view their work and careers. An inspiring and hard-hitting film I would highly recommend for students and veteran artists too!
