About the Movie

It’s not that he’s clumsy, shy, or dressed for disco that makes Dave (Eddie Murphy) stand out from everyone else in New York City. It’s that he’s an alien ship on a mission to Earth to save his home planet! Torn between the voices in his head (a tiny alien crew led by a high-strung, miniature version of himself) and the world around him, Dave struggles to appear normal with hilarious consequences!

Rotten: Murphy may want to disappear whenever he can, but if he let loose some more, he might not need a facade to hide behind ever again. – Joe Neumaier, New York Daily News, Jul 7, 2010

Hilarious !! Two thumbs up!

Laughed until my side hurt. Very original and innocent humor. Proves a movie can be funny without being crude and disgusting like most movie directors seem to think in the 21st century. Funny for adults and kids a like, targets all ages. Again, very funny. Go see it!!

when i saw the previews at first, i thought "what a stupid looking movie." it was out around the same time as Get Smart, and i honestly wanted to see Get Smart way more than i wanted to see this. And you know what, i coudlnt believe how funny this movie actaully was. sure, the plot is a little strange, but the non-stop humor really made up for it. and the funny thing is, i think i laughed maybe 4 or 5 times tops while watching Get Smart; the movie that i actually wanted to see in the first place.

Ok, so when I saw the previews for this, I thought it was the stupidest idea for a movie in the world. I thought I would hate it. Wow, I was wrong. To date, this is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. I'm not really sure what was so funny about it, but it had me laughing out loud the entire time. Eddie Murphy is amazing :) This movie is HILARIOUS. You'll love it.
