Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Alas, even a prickly pro like Sutherland can't do anything to elevate a hokey self-help lecture disguised as family entertainment. – Geoff Berkshire, Variety, Oct 1, 2016

Rotten: The theme of enlightenment has seldom come across as leaden as it is in "Milton's Secret," a dull drama based on the children's novel of the same name by spiritual author Eckhart Tolle. – Michael Rechtshaffen, Los Angeles Times, Sep 29, 2016

Rotten: The script's anodyne lessons feel no fresher than the last dozen times enlightened moviemakers have shared them with us. – John DeFore, Hollywood Reporter, Sep 30, 2016

Rotten: It's perfectly nutty and perfectly dull, like St. Vincent on Quaaludes. – Peter Howell, Toronto Star, Sep 30, 2016

Pure Entertaining Inspiration!

We loved Milton's Secret. We were entertained and inspired all the way through. Great cast, directing, story. This is an important film to share with kids and their families everywhere. Can you imagine what would happen in our world if we were able to eliminate bullies through changing our minds about being fearful and recognizing that actions taken by bullies are because they are scared and don't feel loved. There is much to learn in this beautiful film. Not a time to listen to most traditional critics, but to make a positive difference in young lives. Thank you for making this important film. I hope schools will show it.

RT gave it 27%. Why such hate for a "Simple" Film?

Because it's not simple it's real and real is messy.

This film brings you into an introspective mind set where you experience sympathy and empathy simultaneously. Worth the price of admission...

Just remember RT gave Arrival 100% and my Fitbit recorded me as being asleep for the duration of that film.

So what are you waiting for

Profound and Uplifting
