Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: "Rogue Nation" is pretty much like most of the "Impossible" movies in that it's an immense machine that Mr. McQuarrie, after tinkering and oiling, has cranked up again and set humming ... – Manohla Dargis, New York Times, Jul 30, 2015

Fresh: The most reliable blockbuster series going: Five films, some weirder than others, but not a stinker in the bunch. – Chris Klimek, NPR, Jul 31, 2015

Fresh: Of the many heists and grabs that litter the movie, none is as blatant as the deft, irrepressible manner in which Ferguson, displaying a light smile and a brisk way with a knife, steals the show. – Anthony Lane, New Yorker, Aug 3, 2015

Fresh: With Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, we're getting the best Bond movie since Casino Royale in 2006. – Richard Roeper, Chicago Sun-Times, Dec 14, 2015

Only Franchise where each Subsequent Sequel TOPS THE LAST

Thanks to Tom Cruise, who per usual, CARRIES THIS FILM ON HIS BACK. The action & stunts were phenomenal and the storyline was top-notch. And thank the Lord VING RHAMES is back.

I love Tom Cruise and The Mission Impossible series. But honestly I didn't think it could get better than "Ghost Protocol". But this is the new movie to beat. A bit darker but a great film none the less. Very enjoyable.

Another great M:I film

One of the few signs that Hollywood can still make extremely entertaining (and not too stupid) movies is the M:I franchise. This is the fifth, and each film has somehow struck a balance of being consistent while giving each director a chance to work his personal brand of mojo. Sure, there are some plot points that don’t make sense and some clunky dialog here and there, but overall it’s a fantastic addition to the series. The motorcycle chase is the best ever filmed and is worth the price of admission alone.
