About the Movie

All Allyson and her friends want is a peaceful, grown-up evening of dinner and conversation... a long-needed moms’ night out. But in order to enjoy high heels, adult conversation and food not served in a paper bag, they need their husbands to watch the kids for three hours—what could go wrong?

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Seldom has wackiness been as tedious as it is in "Moms' Night Out," a Christian-themed film that is desperate to make adherents seem wild and crazy but mostly makes them seem incapable of raising children. – Neil Genzlinger, New York Times, May 8, 2014

Rotten: What this PG comedy lacks in cursing, it also comes up short on plot, character development, originality, and overall pleasure. – Marc Snetiker, Entertainment Weekly, May 8, 2014

Rotten: There's no fun to be had - and not a drop of originality - in this chaotic and contrived mess. – Claudia Puig, USA Today, May 8, 2014

Rotten: A shrill feature-length sitcom for the faith-based family values crowd, if nowhere near as good as that sounds. – Justin Chang, Variety, May 2, 2014

Soooo funny!

Ignore the critic ratings completely, Moms' Night Out is such a breath of fresh air! It's clean! I could take whoever I wanted to, and leave without blushing. The film will most likely appeal to moms (particular those with younger kids), as it is easy to relate and see yourself in the characters. I literally laughed out loud (even to the point of tears more than once) for the majority of the movie. Love, love, love it! A must see.

I've read several reviews that were not favorable towards the movie, and I have to say the people writing these reviews must not be a mom (and possibly not a parent at all). The movie was written for someone like me. I get it. I know that I find some of the gags funny because I've either experienced them or something similar. Much of the movie is a true to life look at a moms life (not a complete look by any means, but I think every mom has had one of those days). I think if you fit their target audience, you'll love the film as much as I did. Took my husband to see it, and he loved it as well. :)

Hilarious family film

Great movie! This is by far a wonderful family film that is funny and appropriate for everyone. I definitely saw moments of my life played out in this film. Don't listen to the negative Hollywood critics on this one. Listen to the viewers. And the viewers loved it!

another desperate movie

This is a fantastic movie for the "out of touch, fairytale loving delusional” kind of audience. The script is bad, the acting worse and the story is nothing new. This movie is only targeted for a specific audience.
