Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: The pieces would seem to be in place, but ... "Money Monster" is a stodgy, moribund plodder loaded with stock characters that wouldn't have felt edgy in 1983 and has about the same contemporary urgency as your average late-night rerun of "CSI: NY." – Andrew O'Hehir, Salon.com, May 16, 2016

Rotten: The frenzied drama has no clear point of view besides its air of celebrity condescension. – Richard Brody, New Yorker, May 23, 2016

Fresh: After a very strong start that pokes some nice satirical jabs at the media and the workings of the finance world, the film does default into a pretty standard, though entertaining affair. – Jim Schembri, 3AW, Dec 26, 2016

Fresh: It wants to be more than just a thriller; it aims to attack rapacious financial institutions, witless TV programs and the short attention span of the general public, and for the most part it manages to achieve all of that. – David Stratton, The Australian, Jun 10, 2016

Customer Reviews

So bad.

Saw this in theaters. Regret it every day of my life.

No but seriously I wouldn't have been happy seeing this movie for free, anywhere.

Movie review

I knew from the start as early as the first second rolled in and I also knew that Tristar Pictures being the production company, that this movie is going to be spectacular. First, the acting, specifically the lead acting by George Clooney and Julia Roberts was top notch. Second, the story is an incredible one, one that keeps audiences on the edge of their seat to find out what exactly will happen. Third, the directing was done wonderfully to keep audiences glued to their seat.

Red Box Only

Maybe… Maybe worth the $1.50 if you get it through red box.

Wish I could get my money back. Waist of $15. Disappointed. Crap Movie.
