Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: There's Theron, like a force of nature, compelling us to go beyond TV-movie supposition and look Wuornos straight in the eye. – Peter Travers, Rolling Stone, Aug 14, 2007

Fresh: Ms. Theron has ventured far beyond mere surface impersonation -- although that is startling enough -- to an insightful penetration of her subject's psyche. – Andrew Sarris, New York Observer, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: An okay movie made nearly great by one great thing: the bravura, mercilessly watchable performance of Charlize Theron. – Michael O'Sullivan, Washington Post, Jul 16, 2008

Rotten: Its series of weak excuses and cliched insights illuminate nothing, and the movie ends up little more than a lesbian slasher flick. – Tom Long, Detroit News, Jun 24, 2010

Excellent Movie!!!

The movie is well written. I watch the documentary about this movie and to me the movie is very well written. The acting is superb!! Charlize Theron & Christina Ricci both give raw and emotional performances. The best of their careers! Definitely worth buying to watch again and again!

A Monster of a Movie

In an age when MBA's want to put out movies like JAMES BOND Vs. THE NINJA TURTLES, it's good to have a heart-felt script about a modern American tragedy. Thanks to Patty Jenkins & a terrific cast, including Bruce Dern.
