About the Movie

Over the past 15 years, numerous colonies of bees have been decimated throughout the world, but the causes of this disaster remain unknown. This compelling documentary from Markus Imhoof, Oscar-nominated director of “The Boat is Full,” investigates the phenomenon known as colony collapse disorder and the causes posited by scientists to explain what is responsible for the weakening of the bees’ immune defenses. The dwindling bee population threatens the worldwide produce industry, because without bees, there is no pollinization, and fruits and vegetables could disappear from the face of the Earth.

Fresh: Eye-popping photography should draw viewers to this thoughtful, revealing doc. – John DeFore, Hollywood Reporter, Jan 1, 2014

The true reason bees die

We know one reason why bees are dying, over use and use of pesticides and chemical fungicides and herbicides. especially certain kinds of pesticides. and the destruction of wildlife and plants that attract bees.

Wir gehen ins Kino. Danke!
