Plot Summary

Welcome to Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium, the strangest, most fantastic, most wonderful toy store in the world. It’s a tantalizing toy haven in which everything inside literally comes to life – including the store itself! But when Mr. Magorium, the store’s extraordinary 243 year-old proprietor (Dustin Hoffman), announces that he will at long last hand over the reigns of his magical toy store to his unconfident young manager, Molly Mahoney (Natalie Portman), the store decides to throw an unusual tantrum. Matters get worse when a skeptical accountant named Henry (Jason Bateman) comes in to audit the store. The once sparkling, color-saturated Emporium is suddenly embattled by mysterious changes. The playful toys are all still there, but they’ve turned gray and quiet – and only Mahoney and Henry can revive them if, with the help of a dexterous 9 year-old (Zach Mills), they can find the source of magic inside themselves.

Rotten: Never promise wonder when all you've got is manufactured whimsy. – Elizabeth Weitzman, New York Daily News, Jun 24, 2010

"Wonder"ful!

Okay, some people may not like this movie because they think it's too young or kiddish, but some people do like it because it's a nice family movie. I think this is a great Saturday night movie. I think all the actors and actresses are really good. I had a fun time watching this, and hopefully tou will too. Plus, your not buying it, your just renting it! So if you don't like it, then, walla! It's gone. So, just try it out, no matter who you are.

loved it!

great movie im a babysitter and the kids and me loved it!

alright peoples

for anyone who says they did not like this movie because it was not funny or was not well made, you must remember that this movie was made for kids 10 and younger so the humor is actually CLEAN for a change (hence why it is rated G). besides that this movie has an great message and is excellent for the entire family, but do not buy it on itunes (unless you have apple tv), one because you can only rent it (i am not suggesting that you should only buy it though), and two because its a computer screen and lets face it itunes has only decent quality for their videos.
