Plot Summary

Brendan Fraser and Jet Li star in the action-packed adventure The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor! When a 2,000-year-old curse is broken, a ruthless dragon emperor (Li) comes back to life with a diabolical plan to enslave the world. Mankind’s only hope against him and his legions of undead warriors lies with the courageous O’Connell family, who chase him from the dangerous catacombs of China, to the icy Himalayas and beyond. Featuring intense battle sequences, breathtaking visual effects and extraordinary creatures, it’s a thrilling journey that Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times calls “the best in the series!”

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: For a movie about the undead, this lacks any supernatural chills, and by the time its obligatory final showdown arrives, it seems as hollow as the terra cotta soldiers brought to life by CGI. – Andrea Gronvall, Chicago Reader, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: I was never a fan of the first two, but those are masterpieces compared to this clunk 'o junk. – Richard Roeper, Ebert & Roeper, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Never trust a movie in which a character exclaims "here we go again", just as Brendan Fraser does 30 minutes into the third instalment of The Mummy franchise. – Simon Miraudo, Quickflix, Nov 2, 2014

Rotten: The possibility of a fourth film is alluded to in the screenplay, but let's hope the filmmakers decide to leave that one where it belongs -- in the crypt. – Vicky Roach, Daily Telegraph (Australia), Jun 24, 2010

All of you that are looking through the comments to find out whether or not you should buy this movie... do not i never write reviews... ever i just dont care enough but for this movie i feel obligated to tell everyone how horrendusly horrible it was. Literally, it was hours of cliché's that you never thought actually existed in real life. I was absolutely shocked by how bad it was when i first watch it and still smirk to myself whenever seeing a poster or ad about the movie because... it is just humerous that they even allowed a movie like this in theatres. Trust me, i do the same thing with movies that all of you are doing now... looking through all the beliefs about the movie to find the 'real' one... this is it.... you cant find a movie dummer then this one PLEASE believe me

horrible

this is without a doubt the worst of the mummy movies...... so bad that one of the main characters would not participate in this installment..... you cannot sub rachel wiess.... dont waste your money!

:(

I'm a huge Mummy fan. I really, really wanted to like this movie. I even went in willing to overlook the Evie replacement thing because Rachel got greedy and I didn't want to hold that against the movie. Unfortunately, Replacement Evie was the least of their problems. Everything was forced from start to finish. Paper thin plot. Attempts at humor fell flat. Characters were poorly developed. Relationship dynamics were mostly skipped. So much more could have and should have been done with this movie. :(
