About the Movie
This powerful and harrowing documentary tells the story of the indigenous Miskito lobster divers along Nicaragua's Caribbean Coast who risk their lives every day diving for the region's most lucrative resource - the Caribbean spiny lobster. Juxtaposing the plight of these Miskito Indians with the commercialization of this type of fishing, the film gives a visual voice to how what we consume casually at a Saturday night dinner has a direct effect on the lives and welfare of those who provide that food for us. entertaining, insightful, illuminating
This film was entertaining with some gorgeous images and beautiful music. Eye-opening and insightful. At times hard to watch. I could watch multiple times because there are many layers of complexity. Well done. Thanks for sharing this film with us.
Well told, well shot, well crafted story. If you want to be a well informed consumer, and human, you need to find an hour to watch this film.
I did NOT know this was happening in Nicaragua- lyrical film about a pretty devastating and deadly practice. No more lobsters for me...
