About the Movie
Incoming NYU freshmen and childhood neighbors Naomi and Ely have been in love with each other their whole lives, even though Ely isn't exactly into girls. While Naomi and Ely date others, they create a "No Kiss List” to prevent them from falling in love with anyone else. But, their bond is tested when Ely falls in love with another boy……and unfortunately it’s with the same guy that Naomi is dating.
Everyone needs too watch this movie! It was perfect I don't even know where to start. I've been a fan of Victoria for a very long time and this is definitely my favorite thing that she's done. Her acting was so good and I fell in love with Pierson and Matthew. They're both great actors and I loved their characters so much. The way it was filmed was really beautiful, specially because it all takes place in NYC, and the soundtrack I mean... they should release an album with all the songs because they're so so good. I love this movie and I love Victoria, she really is so talented, along with the rest of the cast.
feelings all over
ugh where do I begin. At first it’s like, wow yeah cool teens who’s playground is New York City, never seen that before! but slowly, through great acting and good dialogue you see the emotion of relationships artfully painted into the movie. Relationships of all kinds from romantic, to soul best friends, mentor and mentee, to mother and daughter. Naomi and Ely are such loud characters. Maybe not the most realistic, but incredibly captivating in the power they’ve gained from being beautiful. They are manipulative and know how to hurt each other. Further more, I loved Naomi’s POV, a strong female lead but not a conventional one. She’s not particularly smart or courageous, but she comes to a strong realization over the course of the movie. She always wanted more when it came to Ely but what she comes to realize is that what she already has with Ely is as just important as her romantic relationships and can’t be “upgraded”. She really develops into this strong lead over the course of the movie, particularly during the time her and Ely fight. I really loved seeing her change as well as seeing Ely realize to what extent he hurt her. Just a great movie.
Love this movie!
Saw this at Outfest 2015 and it was amazing! Can’t wait to watch again :)
