Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Though the stars are likable and attractive, the movie is a melodramatic and soppy affair. – Claudia Puig, USA Today, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: The comparative savvy that Wolfe showed in HBO's stage-to-TV transfer of Lackawanna Blues has gone missing. – Michael Phillips, Chicago Tribune, Oct 20, 2008

Rotten: Richard Gere suffers less than Diane Lane. He gets by with a mixture of skill and self-irony. She acts up a storm in every scene, but you root for the hurricane. – Joe Morgenstern, Wall Street Journal, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: What really sells this three-hanky tear-jerker -- and there were a lot of women buying it during a recent screening -- is Lane's steely and vulnerable performance. Like Tinker Bell, she almost made me believe in fairies. Almost. – Michael O'Sullivan, Washington Post, Jun 24, 2010

Nights In Rodanthe

We were on vacation in Rodanthe when this was being filmed. My wife and I stood in our bedroom and watched the party on the pier out our window. My father-in-law talked to Diane Lane on the beach, but had no idea who she was until later. My wife and I loved this film and seeing so may familiar scenes throughout the film, made it especially exciting for us. This is a touching love story which captures the laid-back charm of the Outer Banks.

Chick Flick Extrordinaire!

Ideal chick flick~beautiful love story but have the Kleenex ready! I enjoyed every minute of this movie!!!!

Another great movie/book from Nicholas Sparks

I could not stop crying when i saw this movie, it hits the deepest part of your emotions and pulls at your heart. Loved it the first time i saw it and i am anxiously waiting for it to come out. As good, if not better, then the Notebook. Highly recommended!!!
