About the Movie
Tony Kane plays a superhero on TV, but in real life he’s just another deaf guy with hopes and dreams that always seem to elude him. Eight-year-old Jacob Lang, also deaf, is having a hard time in school, where he is torn between what his father thinks is normal and necessary, and the ASL education that he really needs. When Tony and Jacob’s paths cross, they inspire belief in each other and in themselves. And when Tony meets Jacob’s teacher, Jenny, a romance blossoms that suddenly makes Tony feel like he can do anything. . . even things he never dreamed possible! This movie has been approved for All Ages by The Dove Foundation for family viewing.
No Ordinary Hero: The SuperDeafy Movie
My family loved this movie as it shows how deaf people can overcome anything and be normal like everyone else. Lots of action and humor!!! Beautifully and well written plus an amazing cast of actors.
A gem of a movie! Loved it!
Heartwarming, funny, and entertaining. A fresh take on all of life’s challenges that everyone deals with—whether you’re hearing or deaf. Such a positive message. Takes on important issues (like bullying) with gentleness and humor. Makes you feel good, and great for all families. We’re all human and we’ve all got something good to give!
Great Family Film!
What a fun and inspirational film to watch with your kids or with just grown ups.
It's well worth the time and money!
