About the Movie

The famous "Rat Pack" is never hipper or funnier than in this, the ultimate Las Vegas movie -- quoted, copied and paid homage to in every movie since that's set in the glamourous desert oasis. Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr., and Peter Lawford star as ex-paratroopers who band together to rob five casinos simultaneously. The caper goes off without a hitch but when one dies of a heart attack, the police seal off the city and the boys must think of a way to get out the loot. Co-starring Angie Dickinson ("Police Woman," "Dressed to Kill").

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Young people are likely to find this more appropriate and bewitching than do their elders. The latter are likely to feel less gleeful in the presence of heroes who rob and steal. – Bosley Crowther, New York Times, Jun 10, 2009

Fresh: Laboring under the handicaps of a contrived script, an uncertain approach and personalities in essence playing themselves, the production never quite makes its point, but romps along merrily unconcerned that it doesn't. – Variety Staff, Variety, Jul 7, 2010

Fresh: The original Ocean's is fun, fun, fun. – Karen Croft,, Jul 7, 2010

Rotten: Terminally boring. – Jonathan Rosenbaum, Chicago Reader, Jun 24, 2010

Rat Pack at its greatest. This is such a great movie in which inspired 3 incredible movies that you've already seen with George Cloony Brad Pit, Matt Damon, and Bernie Mac...but you have gotta see this classic.

the remake is better

this one is kinda boring

I thought the ending was hilarious!
