Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Talk about holiday buzzkill. This pooped party brings you down from all the jokes that don't land and the flop sweat pouring off good actors whose forced cheer is exhausting. – Peter Travers, Rolling Stone, Dec 8, 2016

Rotten: The rager's excesses are wholly predictable: cocaine, a lot of white people jumping up and down to DJ Kool, gay-panicky visuals with eggnog. – Melissa Anderson, Village Voice, Dec 9, 2016

Fresh: The celebration that goes too far is a movie comedy staple, but there's something a bit disturbing about Office Christmas Party's vision of corporate America self-immolating at the end of one terrible year. – Nick Dent, Daily Telegraph (Australia), Jan 13, 2017

Fresh: The film, for all its failures, works as an effective catalogue of life in the modern-day office, an assortment of absurdities, fictions and religious rituals that we somehow mistook for normal. – Thomas Hale, Financial Times, Dec 23, 2016

Worst Movie Ever

Really wanted to like this movie. But was so hard to sit through.

The worst movie I've seen, maybe ever.

Wanted to walk out several times, but I was watching it with my Dad...Couldn't find a bigger waste of your money if you tried.

It's so miraculously unfunny (suprising given the fun cast), but ever joke is flat. The motivations are idiotic, and there is no sense of what makes a entertaining party story-wise onscreen.

It physically hurt to watch, so I implore you against spending anything on this movie (time, money, consideration).

What a huge let down. Was excited to see this movie since I loved the cast and the trailer was hilarious. Glad I rented it. Movie was boring
