It's a sweet child's story, plus it has BEAUTIFUL animation. ;)

Please sir, can I have some more?

If you've seen "The Birds," and loved it, then sit back and watch the Pixar short "One Man Band" steal the show. One Man Band is up there on the cuteness factor when a cute little girl goes to the plazza fountain to make a wish with her only gold coin. Upon her arrival, she meets Bass, a one man band comprised of all the typical percussion/brass instruments that a OMB typically carries. Shortly after, Strings ventures to compete with Bass for the gold coin only to pin the girl in a tight position. The coin flies and lands in the drain leaving peasant girl with no coin. The cutest part is when peasant girl takes one of String's violins and fiddles her way into a pot of gold. You just have to see this! Way to go Pixar! P.S. Look for "The Birds" sighting in the new Pixar movie "Cars." A+++ -Evin

A shade dissapointing

Pixar's animation is, as usual, not less than brilliant. But this short piece does not please as certainly as previous Pixar productions because of an elementary mistake in its story line. One is left not admiring and therfore unable to identify with any of its three characters and so the story's resolution is just a bit too unsatisfying. If I'd never seen another PIxar project I would be well pleased with this one. But with their own work Pixar has set the bar higher than this effort can quite clear.
