About the Movie

The tragic loss of their unborn child has devastated Kate (Vera Farmiga) and John (Peter Sarsgaard), taking a toll on both their marriage and Kate's fragile psyche as she is plagued by nightmares and haunted by demons from her past. Struggling to regain some semblance of normalcy in their lives, the couple decides to adopt another child. At the local orphanage, both John and Kate find themselves strangely drawn to a young girl named Esther (Isabelle Fuhrman)...but Esther is not what she appears to be and, concerned for the safety of her family, Kate tries to get John and others to see past Esther's sweet facade. But her warnings go unheeded until it may be too late...for everyone.

this move was more than what i expected. i was hoping it would be good. this movie was beyond that. this movie was very creepy. ester was so creepy and so scary. this was a big surprise. the acting in this movie was very good. so good it may have been unnessary. not by just the adults but the kids were good. the cast was perfect. this shows that there is still some orignality in the horror genre. one of the best horror movies of 2009. SEE ORPHAN! you can buy orphan and trust me you will not be dissapointed.

I haven't actually seen the movie, but I know everything about it. My dad saw it, and he really liked it. I mean, he really liked it. Alot. The movie had an amazing plot, with just the right amount of suspense. In my opinion, the movie sounded perfect. If your kids want to watch this, I suggest you screen it and decide if it's appropriate first. I love Isabelle Fuhrman, even though I didn't see any of her movies. She has a great personality and looks very nice. So, I suggest you should Pre-Order this movie. I hope you will like it. :)

Isabelle Fuhrman is a great "Orphan"

This movie is just very scary and horrible at the end.The Orphan who is played by 12 year old Isabelle Fuhrman is the best actress who can make the best russian accent.I love this movie even though it friqhtened me out my pants it is awesome. The best made yet which chose out the correct actors for it.I truly reccomend it for the non-coward who is buyinq this(j.k. on the coward)I advise you not to show people under 13 because it is very friqhtninq and has intimate sex scenes and also 40% cussinq.Otherwise this movie deserves 50 million thumbs up.But that's all.
