A terrific cast will hold you spellbound in this one of a kind seductive thriller from the screenwriter of The Recruit. The last thing washed-up jazz musician Nate Pool (Academy Award-nominee Mickey Rourke, The Wrestler) wanted to do was betray sinister gangster Happy Shannon (Academy-Award-nominee Bill Murray, Lost in Translation). But it may be the last thing he does unless he can deliver Lily (Megan Fox, Transformers), a beautiful and mysterious carnival sideshow attraction. The stakes can't get any higher for the two lovers as they try to elude the merciless killer who will stop at nothing to keep Lily for himself. Kelly Lynch (Drugstore Cowboy) and Rhys Ifans (Notting Hill) costar in this gritty and unpredictable tale of redemption in the hard-boiled tradition of classic film noir.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Conjuring magic, it goes abracadabra and snaps its fingers, but nothing happens.
Rotten: This underworld fairy tale is so soggy and sentimental it's like a new genre: Hallmark noir.
Rotten: Perversely eccentric and frequently inert, screenwriter Mitch Glazer's directorial debut, Passion Play, will benefit from some of the well-known names attached, but the near-painful hipness of the production will yield poisonous word of mouth.
Rotten: "Passion Play" would be midnight-movie fodder if it weren't so drearily wrapped up in its wounded-male aesthetic and a clumsy approach to art-movie moodiness that was abandoned in the '80s.
I would watch Megan Fox sell lemonade or hang drywall for two hours, so I know I am biased, but I love a good love story and I think she gave her everything. Mickey Rourke seems out of his element here. His clubbed fingers, catchers mitt leather face and tied tongue stumble through love scenes with the grace and smoothness of a greyhound bus on a flat. Love the ending, too bad the direction seemed to be lacking something. Love You, Megan!!
waste of time
if it weren't megan fox or her bod.. i'd rather not watch the film.. incompatible cast.
Was watchable. Soundtrack was awesome
