Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: You won't find much offensive in Kevin James's slick, innocuous vehicle Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2. You won't find much prompting an emotional reaction in general, so familiar are the jokes and situations. – Andy Webster, New York Times, Apr 17, 2015

Rotten: Far from the worst movie that you'll ever see, but you might leave wondering why you, the people on the screen, or anyone else in the theater even bothered. – Kevin P. Sullivan, Entertainment Weekly, Apr 17, 2015

Rotten: Kevin James keeps falling on his face and colliding with heavy objects, this time in Vegas, in this tacky, numbingly inane sequel. – Justin Chang, Variety, Apr 17, 2015

Rotten: Although there have been worse sequels -- and worse overall movies -- make no mistake, that's hardly a recommendation. – Gary Goldstein, Los Angeles Times, Apr 24, 2015

First one is pretty funny. My family enjoyed it. This one was painful for my entire family. Even the 7 year old thought it was lame.

Kids will like it

Hey, it's no Dr Zhivago but it's clean, funny enought for the kids and you may get a chuckle out of it too. Most movies rely on cursing to and crudeness get thier point across, I think it's refreshing that the writers went out of their way to make it approachable to all. Right on.
