About the Movie

Loosely based on works from Jean-Paul Sartre and Ambrose Bierce, this pitch-black comedy features six wicked vignettes and an ensemble of characters grappling with each other in a vain attempt to gain control of their lives: an unhappily married psychiatrist and his destructive patient; a lovelorn gay man and his indifferent one-night stand; a quartet of embittered friends; a disgruntled couple; and a struggling, idealistic screenwriter pitted against pompous studio executives. Their frustrated and impassioned lives intersect in surprising ways, ultimately colliding in an unexpected climax.

Customer Reviews

A great independent film

The boxing scene was the best!

Highly Recommend

Seemingly isolated characters are distilled into a fusion that is both eerily fascinating yet not overly contrived. The actors seem exquisitely suited to the characters they portray, and the story pregnant with raw emotion that explores existential philosophy in a genuinely enlightening way. This director has a truly scintillating vision that makes this film work in all the right ways.

On point

Great movie. If you don't take yourself too seriously, this movie is perfect for you. If you do, this movie will change that. People portrays everyday humans in their most natural state.
