About the Movie

LET THE SPECTACLE ASTOUND YOU! In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera, Cameron Mackintosh produced a unique, spectacular staging of the musical on a scale which had never been seen before. Inspired by the original staging by Hal Prince and Gillian Lynne, this lavish, fully-staged production set in the sumptuous Victorian splendor of London’s legendary Royal Albert Hall features a cast and orchestra of over 200, plus some very special guest appearances.

This is one amazing concert!!

Finally something to replace the awful 2004 movie!! Phantom is an amazing work of art and everyone needs to see this!!

Beautifully done!

I loved the 2004 movie, it was my first exposure to POTO. Ever since i saw it, I always wanted to see the original musical from where it came from. This gave me the chance to see the original stage musical in all it's glory. It was cool to compare and see what they did and didn't do in the movie and find out what they were capable of doing on the stage. i loved it, and the fact they used Sierra and Ramin from the sequel, Love Never Dies, is a plus. They have great chemistry and stupendous vocals. Especially Ramin's voice. This is a must see, for a first exposure or non at all. :)

Phantastic!!

This movie is amazingly well done! Ramin Karimloo shines as the Phantom. I have seen the play 13 times and, by far, provides the best Phantom performance of them all in this movie! :)
