Walt Disney's Classic Morality Tale

Walt Disney has become known as the definitive children's filmmaker, a reputation he gained in large part by the fact that many of his best known films were based on children's literature. Walt's second feature, "Pinocchio", is no exception, being based on Carlo Collodi's classic children's novel. In addition to its high production values and memorable songs, "Pinocchio" is also known for being one of Walt's most heavy-handed films, in large part because Collodi's novel was itself a heavy-handed morality tale.

Not only is this probably the best Disney animated film ever made, but as you watch, check out the backgrounds of scenes in the film.

The most amazing intricate animation ever and of course all hand drawn, no such thing at all at that time called computer animation. This was years in the making to see such amazing animation for its time.

Great voice actors, great music score, great songs.

A definite buy!!

This is a true classic!! Don't pass it up.

And since it's been totally restored and in HD, I can't wait to see it.

Walt Disney's HEART lives here

This is Disney at his most sincere, heart-felt best. No other Disney feature gives a greater sense of the love and conviction with which Walt approached his early work, and the depth of character he reflected in each artist's hand-drawn stroke. In the opening scenes, look beyond the main plaers at the background unbelievable care and detail that went into even the most obscure corners of each frame. As a nation walked from the Great Depression--into the grip of World War 2--Disney gifted the nation with this incredible reminder that being brave, unselfish & guided by conscience was a noble thing. We needed that word then, and always will. No generation is too young nor too old to receive Walt's gift of Pinocchio.
