Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Though probably well-intentioned, Radio comes off as manipulative of its audience and exploitative of the mentally challenged. – Claudia Puig, USA Today, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Based-on- a-true-story kitschfest. – Ed Park, Village Voice, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Cuba Gooding Jr. falls victim to the Nell syndrome, in which a vibrant, loquacious actor decides that the road to an Oscar nomination is to wear a slack expression and a set of Nutty Professor teeth. – Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle, Jan 15, 2004

Fresh: Every once in a while human nature expresses itself in a way we can feel good about, and this is one of those times. – Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times, Jul 7, 2010

Commercials Looked Better...

All right. This film falls flat. It tries really hard to be a Forrest Gump knockoff, only the guy remains in one field -- get it? Field? Ugh......................... Anyway. The film could've been better, but it really shows how desperate Cuba was getting -- I bet he thought this was his ticket to another Oscar, but thank goodness he didn't get recognied. Overall, this isn't a very good movie. It's worth a view, but not a buy.
