Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: Imagine a film that makes A Modest Proposal-style satire out of Dracula's gothic horror tropes in the spaghetti western milieu of The Great Silence. It's a pitch-black comedy about Manifest Destiny and cannibal frontiersmen. – Simon Abrams, Village Voice, Jun 17, 2014

Under the radar.

This film is not for the weakminded. I will tell you right now, I have enjoyed this movie for almost a decade. Most people have never heard of it, but psychologically is one of my favorites. It is really well written and if you like Guy Pierce or Robert Carlyle, you will definitely enjoy this. I think for both of them it was their best movie (However Memento for Guy Pierce is a very close second). Anyway, if you haven't seen this and want an entertaining plot, kudos all around.

Delicious!

A very good movie, but I would suggest watching it on an empty stomach. LOL!!!

Okay, this movie is one of my favorite ones ever! I love the relationships between the characters. You should watch this movie, if for no other reason, to listen to the music!
