About the Movie
This riveting wartime thriller stars Robert Cummings as Barry Kane, a Los Angeles aircraft factory worker who witnesses a Nazi agent firebombing his plant. However, it is Barry who is accused of the fiery sabotage, and to clear his name he sets off on a desperate, action-packed cross-country chase that takes him from Boulder Dam to New York's Radio City Music Hall to the top of the Statue of Liberty. Hitchcock's first film with an all-American cast moves with breakneck speed toward its final heart-pounding confrontation and it remains a suspense classic.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: To put it mildly, Mr. Hitchcock and his writers have really let themselves go. Melodramatic action is their forte, but they scoff at speed limits this trip.
Fresh: Soldiers on patrol behind cafeteria workers, Fascist-sympathizing terrorists deeply embedded in small towns and big cities, and the chilling crackle of hectic radio warnings set a tone of ambient menace.
Such a great movie.
Alfred hitchock was a genius and this movie proves it. It has such an interesting plotline along with non-stop action. The scenery is magnificently beautiful and the cast is legendary.
Good Hitchcock Action Flick!
This movie is based on the a WWII premise of covert Nazi spies, whom are out to disrupt the "American war machine". It is not one of Hitchcock's best, but it does entertain, and there is an exceptional "symbolic ending to the movie".
Good movie and it kept me on the edge of the seat. Good plot.
