Fresh: There is no one out there making comedies quite like Rogen and Goldberg. They are putting their definitive stamp on the modern American comedy one decency-smashing double entendre at a time.
Fresh: One of the more clever conceits is how it plays with the central conundrum of Pixar: How do you connect all these animals or toys or robots-beings that, to humans, have no emotions or thoughts or even faces-to the human world that they walk around in?
Fresh: Rogen and his frequent collaborator Evan Goldberg dreamed up the story with actor Jonah Hill, and though it might sound like a critique of religion, they opt instead for a lowbrow, sporadically funny celebration of hedonism.
Rotten: "Sausage Party" is smarter than it looks at the same time as it is overly taken with its juvenile humor.
Boring and not funny.
My theatre chuckled once the whole movie. I almost fell asleep. Two people left early and another complained, "I can't believe I spent $8 on that, I almost fell asleep" while walking out.
90 minutes of sausage and weed jokes.
If you are a big fan of Seth Rogan's comedy, then you may like it.
It seemed like almost nothing happened in the movie other than the same jokes over and over. The movie did not really do any world-building. Also, the main bad-guy was a mess of cringe worthy "bro" tropes.
Didn't care for it at all.
don't know what else to say besides...it's not funny. I think I laughed once the entire show. seth rogan fails again. guess I should've paid more attention to who wrote it and starred in it before I wasted my time. if it weren't for the popcorn and milk duds I didn't want to waste, I'm sure I would've just left.
I'm assuming anyone who says they liked it is either in junior high, or at a maturity level that won't allow them to move on passed prepubecence. it's not witty. it's not worth it
