What happens after you say "I do"? Life is everything the ladies ever wished it to be, but it wouldn't be "Sex and the City" if life didn't hold a few more surprises...this time in the form of a glamorous, sun-drenched adventure that whisks the women away from New York to one of the most luxurious, exotic and vivid places on earth, where the party never ends and there's something mysterious around every corner. It's an escape that comes exactly at the right moment for the four friends, who are finding themselves in--and fighting against--the traditional roles of marriage, motherhood and more. After all, sometimes you just have to get away with the girls.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Remember the old, boundary-breaking, taboo-toppling Sex and the City? Forget it. Neither sex nor the city plays any role in this film.
Rotten: It's an almost avant-garde adventure in aimlessness.
Rotten: An enervated, crass and gruesomely caricatured trip to nowhere [that] seems conceived primarily to find new and more cynical ways to abuse the loyalty of its audience.
Rotten: It has no plot to speak of, little in the way of wit or intelligence, and is about 50% longer than can reasonably be justified.
Sex and the CIty 2 is a non-stop laughing movie! Great to see it in every occasion. Even so it's had not some very good reviews, I recommend to not pay attention to them, just go and watch it and just have fun!
I am a huge sex and the city fan have watched all the seasons and own them and also loved the first movie and watch it whenever I have a bad day. I honestly had greater expectations for this movie because the first one was so great. Unfortunately the first movie left with a close ending and made it much more difficult to create an opening for the second one. I don't understand why stanford had to marry anthony, they hate each-other! Also was it necessary for them to go to the middle east? I don't see how that showed the dynamic between Carrie and Big. also was disappointed in the fashion choices I can always look to SITC for fashion and women embracing their womanhood married or not. Also isn't sex in the title, WHERE WERE ALL THE SEX SCENES? I'm pretty sure that there were only two sex scenes and it's called SEX and the city!
one of worst movies EVER
Boy did someone drop the ball on this one. The opening sequence where they show what the girls were like in the 80's and what they've turned into, it was truly sad. We're supposed to think it's a good thing that they've turned into vapid, self-obsessed, insatiable, entitled and materialistic harpies? I really dug the show, but this was just sickening. Of course there are a couple of funny moments and I thought Liza was great, but I could not care about the characters portrayed in this movie. I thought it was a great example of what one can become in the Big City when one completely loses perspective and the ego goes unchecked. I like Sarah Jessica Parker as well, but she is looking pretty prune/samsonite-luggage-esque in this.
Watch it if you must, but watch it as a horror movie and it will make a lot more sense.
