About the Movie

What happens after you say "I do"? Life is everything the ladies ever wished it to be, but it wouldn't be "Sex and the City" if life didn't hold a few more surprises...this time in the form of a glamorous, sun-drenched adventure that whisks the women away from New York to one of the most luxurious, exotic and vivid places on earth, where the party never ends and there's something mysterious around every corner. It's an escape that comes exactly at the right moment for the four friends, who are finding themselves in--and fighting against--the traditional roles of marriage, motherhood and more. After all, sometimes you just have to get away with the girls.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Remember the old, boundary-breaking, taboo-toppling Sex and the City? Forget it. Neither sex nor the city plays any role in this film. – Jessica Bennett, Newsweek, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: It's an almost avant-garde adventure in aimlessness. – Joe Morgenstern, Wall Street Journal, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: An enervated, crass and gruesomely caricatured trip to nowhere [that] seems conceived primarily to find new and more cynical ways to abuse the loyalty of its audience. – Ann Hornaday, Washington Post, Jul 7, 2010

Rotten: It has no plot to speak of, little in the way of wit or intelligence, and is about 50% longer than can reasonably be justified. – James Berardinelli, ReelViews, Jul 7, 2010

Sex and the CIty 2 is a non-stop laughing movie! Great to see it in every occasion. Even so it's had not some very good reviews, I recommend to not pay attention to them, just go and watch it and just have fun!

Very Fun! Very Light-Hearted! Very Different!

I love the movie! The 2 Sex and the City movies are my guilty pleasure! I must say though, in this movie there is Very Little City and Very Little Sex! The first movie, in my opiniion, is better because it has more storyline, more meaning, and more resemblance to what this story is all about! The sequel, however, isn't exactly always dealing with the problems and sticking to the story line! It has a lot more humor and you'll definately laugh in this movie! it's a happy movie for anyone at anytime of the day! The movie is more of a party than the four girls dealing with life...Now they have gone on a "free" vacation to Abu Daubi that i can't really comprehend how they got it! but it's more mischeavious and more of a good time! so Sex and the City and Sex and the City 2 are a lot different from each other! But i still say this is a great movie!

No One Should Be Made To Feel Ugly . . .

This probably appeals to those who are most likely to buy, on a monthly basis, a crockload of fashion, model, and beauty magazines. Periodicals that have only one goal in mind - Making you feel ugly and thereby instilling in you the false sense of needing to buy the products being offered by the advertisers within. In other words, those who are egotistical enough and easily pleased with generous portions of vanity being served up. Entertainment can be found in a variety of other venues besides watching these gals whisking away through endless scenes of no limit credit card shopping and fashion wear one-ups. B O R I N G . . .
