Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: With few tricks up its sleeve, Sharknado only adds to the list of hysterical Syfy monster-dramas that make for a shamelessly brainless 90 minutes well-spent.
Fresh: And it happens, and it happens, and it's an awesome, immersive thing.
Fresh: Oh sure, it's easy to pick holes in a story about a weather system that makes it possible for sharks to fly and take to the streets, but that's the whole point of movies like this: fabulous in-home commentary.
Rotten: Sharknado was born to suck, but I'm hesitant to accuse its enthusiastic viewers of being rubes. The prime reason: I'm an enthusiastic viewer of it too.
How the hell this got a 91% rating on rotten tomatoes is beyond me but this movie is terrible
The worst movie EVER
If you have watched this movie and if you like it, then you have something wrong in your head. It's the cheesiest movie ever
IT'S A SHARK TORNADO! WHAT'S SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND?
Yes, the movie is made by The Asylum. Yes, it has unbelievably cheesy special effects and atrocious acting from Tara Reid and the rest of the cast. But come on, people. It's called "Sharknado." There's no way anyone in the world can possibly take a film with a ridiculous name like that seriously. I actually ended up sitting through the whole thing and thought it was hilarious. As long as you take this shamelessly brainless SyFy movie for what it is, it's worth a one-time "guilty pleasure" watch.
